Gerald L. Pribyl, D.V.M., A.V.B.P., I.A.A.A.M.
Graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa in 1980. Dr. Pribyl graduated with honors, is a member of the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi and the society of Phi Zeta.
Board certified, a member of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, he is recognized as a specialist in canine and feline practice. Dr. Pribyl, besides small animal practice is the co-founder of Veterinarian Aquarium Group which provides veterinary care for Shark Reef Aquariums at Mandalay Bay and the Springs Preserve.
Dr. Pribyl realizes it is more important than ever to provide personalized care in this age of technological advancement. Equally important is the human-animal bond and the realization that the emotional health of his clients is as important as the health of their pets. Dr. Pribyl endeavors to provide quality medical and surgical care with a careful and thoughtful approach, keeping the patients welfare as the primary goal.
Dr. Pribyl was born in Omaha, Nebraska and his parents and sisters still reside there. He is married and has three children. He has been a resident of Las Vegas since 1980 and has been in private practice for 28 years.
Dr. Darrell Dawsey:
Dr. Darrell Dawsey is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, or the Sportsman’s paradise as they like to call it. He moved to Las Vegas in 2005 after receiving his DVM from Louisiana State University and became a member of the Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital team in 2007. Dr. Dawsey brings with him an enthusiasm for laser surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, dentistry, preemptive and post operative analgesia, and internal medicine. Dr. Dawsey is a Veterinary Surgical Laser Society member and an associate of the Veterinarian Aquarium Group which provides quality care for the animals at the Shark Reef, the Golden Nugget’s shark tank, and the Las Vegas Springs Preserve. When Dr. Dawsey is not treating patients and medicating sharks, he is an adjunct instructor at PIMA Medical Institute teaching veterinary technicians. In his spare time he likes to snowboard, play a round of golf, and introduce folks to homemade southern cuisine.
Dr. Terri Fujikawa:

Dr. Terri Fujikawa has been a member of the Gentle Doctor team since 2007. She was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 1997, Dr. Fujikawa moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to continue her competitive career in Judo while attending the University of Colorado. Her judo career was cut short after receiving her undergraduate degree in Biology and dedicating all of her time to her life long dream of Veterinary Medicine. In 2007, Dr. Fujikawa received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. Her special interests include feline medicine, pain management, exotic animal medicine, and attending seminars for advanced dentistry.
Dr. Fujikawa is also an associate of the Veterinarian Aquarium Group which provides quality medicine to the animals at the Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef, Golden Nugget’s Shark Tank, and the Las Vegas Springs Preserve. Her special interests include exotic animal medicine and all aspects of small animal medicine. She is very passionate about veterinary medicine and enhancing the human animal bond.
While attending Colorado State, Dr. Fujikawa met her husband, Dr. Alric Vensand, also a veterinarian. During their spare time, they enjoy hiking, traveling to Disneyland, judo, and relaxing with their 3 dogs, 2 cats, and their Hedgehog, Mr. Knuckles!
